The weekend is over...a mix bag of felicity and discontent. A wonderful dinner with dear and special friends in a local Mexican restaurant, a major and devastating disappointment from a Mexican friend, a rewarding lesson in Swedish, a pleasant surprise from a new friend in Sweden, the concerned telephone call from a friend in Naugatuck, the simple boredom of doing laundry, the delicious feast of tastes of well-cooked Mexican tamales,a kaleidoscope of feelings like water for chocolate, and the inner joyous dance in my heart when I heard on the telephone,for the first time ever,the voice of a friend in Mostoles, Spain who has been a great companion and comfort through earlier difficult times, the crazy conversation with another friend in Naugatuck and the soothing and exquisite voice of Annie Lennox bringing the night to a satisfying conclusion.
